A little about us.....

100% of all contributions, cash, and gifts go directly to the families in need.

Sullivan Associates pays for all overhead costs and coordinated getting the gifts to the recipients.

Most of the families are local and need is established through the food pantry.

We strive to protect the identity of all recipients and deliver the gifts anonymously.

The Santa Foundation History

ANNUAL REPORT
FOR THE YEAR 2015

The Santa Foundation was originally established 30 years ago to fulfill one goal. That goal was to provide gifts for families in need at Christmas time. Most of our recipients work but just can’t buy any extras, like Christmas presents. We deliver the gifts to the recipients so that they can maintain their dignity and anonymity. We have always felt that at least on Christmas Day these families should be like every other family. They will receive presents (from the Santa Foundation) and food (provided by the Food Pantry) and maybe a little hope that things will be better in the upcoming year.

In 2004 we learned that several of our recipients were being evicted from their apartments or homes or finding themselves unable to pay their oil bill, heat bill etc. To meet this need we expanded the focus of The Santa Foundation. We decided to operate on a year round basis. In our area we tried to find other agencies so that we could coordinate efforts to deal with this need. It was soon apparent to us that there were no other agencies, groups etc that were available to assist in helping these people. Thus The Santa Foundation took on this mission.

The Santa Foundation has a reputation of never turning away a legitimate request for help. In the past we have paid for rent or mortgages to help families get through a difficult period. Requests for oil deliveries or packed school backpacks have been fulfilled for needy families as the situations arise. In 2006 the need for these services increased to such an extent that we decided we must create a strategy for fundraising that extends beyond our golf tournament. To accomplish this goal we needed to be a recognized Federal charity with a 501(c) (3) status. The law firm of Doherty, Ciechanowski, Dugan & Cannon P.C. were kind enough to donate their services and The Santa Foundation Inc. is now a federally approved charitable corporation.

As mentioned, the major fundraiser for the Santa Foundation currently is our annual golf tournament. The golf tournament has raised funds allowing the Santa Foundation to expand upon its original charitable endeavors. Our goal is to have this charitable event continue to grow and raise more funds each year.

Since it’s inception the Santa Foundation Inc. has attracted dedicated volunteers and generous sponsors making it possible for us to help so many people. Sullivan Associates Inc. has been and will continue to be the main supporter of the Santa Foundation. All expenses from housing The Santa Foundation Inc., arranging delivery vehicles, gas and gift-wrapping is paid by Sullivan Associates Inc. THIS ALLOWS 100% OF ALL CONTRIBUTIONS COLLECTED TO BE USED TO HELP NEEDY RECIPIENTS.

This past Holiday Season The Santa Foundation Inc. experienced an extremely challenging year. We assisted 811 families. We had many new sponsors adopt families however we did not have enough sponsors to adopt all of our families. As usual God provided a way. We received calls from sponsors who contributed funds rather than taking a family. Some of our larger contributors are: Middlesex Bank, Greenwood Industries, ECO Systems, Norfolk Fire Dept., BLM & C Electrical, 1776 Financial, and NCL Charitable Fund. Also we are now working directly with the Salvation Army and the gifts from their Angel Trees come to us to distribute. The Franklin Police Department began helping us in 2009. They were amazing in the support they gave us. With these resources and the help of a corps of shoppers we were able to take care of each family as we always have and always will.

Every year we compile a report indicating what the activities were of the Santa Foundation for that year. The numbers for 2015 are as follows:
